Instagram’s markup or transient rate limiting can cause an initial “no media” response. We built an automatic background retry with a brief backoff. If both attempts fail, try again later or a different connection.

Can I download private Reels or stories?

No—only publicly accessible media. Private accounts, stories, highlights, DMs, and live streams are not supported.

What is a “signed” download link vs a “raw” link?

A signed link (proxy mode) routes through this server to trigger immediate download and hide Instagram’s CDN URL. The raw link is the direct CDN host; you may need to right‑click “Save video as” in some browsers.

Do you store the videos?

No. We cache only metadata (URLs & shortcode) briefly to reduce repeated scraping. Media files remain on Instagram’s CDN.

Is there an Instagram video download app version?
